Mrs. Kathy Jarvis Wall, 62, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at her home with her family by her side. Kathy was born November 25, 1951, in Winston-Salem, the daughter of the Gene Jarvis and Ellen Hinsdale Jarvis. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Zoie Wall. Kathy had a strong faith and love for the Lord. On November 15, 1986, she married the love of her life, Terry Wall. She was a volunteer for Hospice at Kate B. Reynolds. She was a giving person who always put her family’s needs first. Kathy was a loving, devoted and giving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a dedicated and caring home maker and took pride in her family, making it possible that they were always taken care of. Kathy is survived by her husband of 27 years, Terry Wall of the home; three children, Tina Edwards and husband, Jeff of Mt. Airy, Morgan Benge and wife, Ana, and Shane Walker, and his wife, Lisanne all of Winston-Salem; her mother, Ellen Strupe and her husband, Sam of Winston-Salem; brother, Billy Jarvis and his wife, Susan of Mount Holly; sister, Elaine Lewis of Winston-Salem; step brother, Robert Strupe and wife, Sandra of Welcome; grandchildren, Holly and Casey Estes, Colby Edwards, Lucas Sajeski, Giovanna Benge, Camryn Walker, and several special nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A graveside service was held Thursday, June 19th, at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons, NC, with Pastor Billy Jarvis officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice. The family would like to offer a deep heartfelt and special thank you to Tina Gladden, her CNA with hospice. Thank you for the love, care, and support given to our mother during the last two months of her life, for your special way of bringing her laughter and joy when she needed it the most.
