Mr. Frederick Wylie Scott, husband of Sandra M. Scott of Clemmons, North Carolina, died Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at the age of 75. Mr. Scott was born April 21, 1939 in Columbia, South Carolina and then moved with his parents to Blacksburg, South Carolina where he was raised and educated. He was the son of Winnifred and Virginia Wylie Scott who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a special granddaughter, Stephanie Tolar. Mr. Scott served in the United States Army. He was a member of the Army Drum and Bugle Corps. He retired from an occupation of sales and customer service. He enjoyed coaching Little League for a number of years. Fred loved life and lived it to the fullest. He is survived by his wife of the home, his children Gregory M. Scott, Sheila B. Whitmore, and Deborah H. Russell (Gary) all of Charlotte, NC, Beverly Britnell (Darrell) of Dallas, NC, a step daughter, as well as two grandsons, two step granddaughters, four step great grandchildren and many cousins. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Cathey M. Cann of Clemmons and a brother-in-law, William C. Metts, Jr. (Sue) of Rock Hill, SC. A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, June 28th, 2014 at Salem Funeral Home Reynolda Chapel on the corner of Polo and Reynolda Rd. The service was conducted by Rev. Ramon Smith.
