Marion A. DiGiovanni 

Marion A. DiGiovanni, 98, a resident of the Town of Poughkeepsie, NY, died on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 in Clemmons, NC. Born in Amsterdam, NY on March 20, 1916, she was the daughter of Felix and Angelina Licardo Costa. Marion attended Mass at St. Martin de Porres Church. She enjoyed Italian cooking and made the best Italian meatballs ever. She especially loved spending time with her family. On August 18, 1935 in Cold Spring, Marion married Victor DiGiovanni who predeceased her on December 10, 1998. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Victor and Carol DiGiovanni of Poughkeepsie, Lorraine and Rico Velez of Clemmons, NC, Loretta and Gary Heinz of Mocksville, NC, Albert and Carole DiGiovanni of Hadley, NY; 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 8 great, great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her grandson, Frank Garofalo; and her siblings, Grace Beverland, Doris Cooke, Helen Bettina, Anna Turco, Nancy Watts, Joseph, Anthony and John Costa. Calling hours were held on Sunday, July 20, 2014 from 2-6pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday at 10:30am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
