Willie Butcher 

On August 17, 2014 Joe Willie Butcher went to be with his Lord. He was born on June 16, 1934 in Forsyth County to the late Miles and Florence Huffman Butcher. Joe was a long time member of Harmony Grove United Methodist Church. He was committed to helping others, one example being by his service of helping transport children to the Shriners Hospital for Children in Ohio and South Carolina. Joe was a member of the Jaycee, Shriners, and Masons and served in the United States Army. He is survived by his wife, Nancy P. Butcher; son, Stephen Douglas Butcher; siblings, Margaret Ashley of Haughton, LA, Ethel Butcher of Winston-Salem, Marvin Butcher of Lewisville, NC, Lear Hendrix of Mocksville; nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews; Aunt Mattie Lucas of Oklahoma City; and sisters-in-law, Phyllis P. Jones and Sandra Castle of Lewisville. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 20, 2014, at Harmony Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Greg Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the burial in the church Fellowship Hall.
