Kevin S. Sheets

May 19, 960 – Oct. 16, 2015

Kevin S. Sheets, 55, passed away Friday, October 16, 2015 preceding his mother, Margie Sheets, father, Clarence Sheets and brother, Barry Sheets. He lived his life as a husband to Laura Sheets and a father to Tiffany Sheets. He is survived by his brother and sister, Kim Sheets and Debbie Southern with husband Gene Southern. Nieces and Nephews include Christa Bryd, Malia Sheets, Joanna Humphrey, Riley Hinde, Madison Hinde, Chad Southern, Michael Sheets, Chase Sheets and Hiatt Hinde. He also held a fondness to his in-laws, Charlie and Margaret Roser and sister-in-law Suzanne Hinde with husband, Richard Hinde. He lived through his love and passion of family, animals, and music. He worked at Wake Forest Baptist Health Science Center and is a man of many talents. He did everything he could do to help anyone. Kevin’s visitation was held Tuesday, October 20, 2015 and the funeral service will be Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at 11am following with a reception. They are both at Holy Family Catholic Church in Clemmons, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tiffany’s college fund. An account will be set up at Truliant in Clemmons.

William Lee Walters

May 6, 1927 – Oct. 16, 2015

Mr. William Lee Walters, 88, of Advance, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2015 at Trinity Elms Health and Rehabilitation in Clemmons. William was born in Chicago, IL, on May 6, 1927 a son to the late, Edward Walters and Ida Margaret Murphy Walters. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Peterson and a brother, Edward Walters. A WWII Era veteran, William proudly served in the U.S. Navy. William graduated from Loyola University in Chicago and later earned his master’s degree from Rutgers University in New Jersey. In 1985, William retired from LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, Inc. in New York. After retirement, William and his wife relocated to Lynchburg, VA, and then later settled in Advance. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and part of the R.O.M.E.O group. William was an avid sports fan and a lifelong supporter of the Mets, Jets, and Nets. William is survived by his wife of 40 years, Harriet T. Walters of the home; son, Michael Walters and wife, Patricia of Middlesex, NJ, daughter, Laurel Walters Finegan and husband, Timothy of Edinboro, PA, son, David Walters and wife, Amber of Gainesville, FL, son, Lawrence Walters of St. Petersburg, FL; two step daughters, Joanne Reinhard and husband, Willard of Ashland, KY and Barbara Shepard and husband, Steven of Winston-Salem, NC; 15 grandchildren and spouses, Sean Walters, Kate and Dave Diehl, Mariah Finegan, Timothy and Alyssa Finegan, Cassius Finegan, Annabelle Walters, Josh Walters, Jesse Walters, Tessa Walters, Sydney Walters, Molly Walters, Jake Walters, Lori and Jarred Rogers, Chris and Rene Shepard, Blake Shepard and five great grandchildren, Declan Finegan, Elle Rogers, Lincoln and Julius Marzullo, and Zelda Shepard. A funeral mass was held Tuesday, October 20th at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Steve Hoyt officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your favorite charity. Frances Stanley Sneed

Jan. 10, 1934 – Oct. 16, 2015

Mrs. Frances Stanley Sneed, 81, of Clemmons passed away Friday, October 16, 2015, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born January 10, 1934, in Yadkin County to Rufus and Bertha Barker Stanley. She was a member of Trinity Friends Meeting in Lewisville, where she helped with the nursery for many years. She was retired from Southern Tools with many years of loyal service. She was a loving wife, Mother, grandmother and sister. She will be remembered as always doing for others. She is preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Lucille Burgess, Erlene Sizemore, and Glenda Miller. She is survived by her loving husband , Albert Jerry Sneed, one daughter Janet Boger and husband Randy of Lexington, two grandchildren Mandy Quesenberry and Mark Boger and wife Crystal, two great grandchildren, Gabe and Corbin. Also surviving are two sisters Libby Hiatt and Wanda Law both of Winston Salem, one very special brother Noah Lee Stanley and wife Sandra. A funeral service was conducted Monday, October 19, 2015, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Jake Penley and Rev. Hobert Freeman officiating. Burial followed at Parklawn Memorial Park. Calvin ‘Butch’ Bridges

Calvin “Butch” Bridges, 68, died on October 15, 2015 unexpectedly at his home. He was born in Philadelphia, PA to Leon Johnson and Viola Bridges. Calvin served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1966 after receiving several medals. He is survived by his loving wife of the home, Cynthia Foster Ledbetter Bridges; mother, Ms. Viola Bridges; aunt, Delores Faison; step-children, Keith and Demetria Ledbetter; devoted cousins, Thomas (Patricia) Chew, Thornburg, VA, Valerie Bridges and Teresa (Joe) Lewis, Charlotte, NC; special friend, William Cornish, Philadelphia, PA; and a host of cousins, relatives, friends, and caring in-laws. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness, 3799 Old Lexington Road, Winston-Salem. The Military Rites, Committal and Benediction will be held at 1:00pm at Salisbury National Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 10:30am until 11:00am on Wednesday at the Church.
