To the Editor:

I would like to ask my fellow voters in Clemmons and surrounding area to vote for Dale Folwell for N. C. State Treasurer. I have served with Dale in the the North Carolina House of Representatives, and also worked in the Treasurers’ office as Liaison officer while at the same time Dale was head of the State Division of Employment Security, and although each was serving different agencies of the State of North Carolina, we talked often about solving the difficult issues facing our respective Departments. From these past experiences, I know Dale has a knowledge base which will serve him and the citizens of North Carolina well, as Treasurer of the state he will energetically, with wisdom and vigor, exercise his duties. He is capable and on day one, can handle this difficult job.

In today’s (Thursday, Oct. 27th) Clemmons Courier, either by design or accident, the “Couriering Clemmons” Column looked back to events from 1976, and this column showed that Dale Folwell had just been elected Treasurer of the West Forsyth High VICA Club!

This also reminds us that this candidate is a native son, and that he has proven himself to be a standout leader in many areas.

Dale has the background in Finance, North Carolina Government, both Administratively and Legislatively, and an abiding interest in doing what is best for North Carolina, its state employees, and its taxpaying citizens.

Please join me in voting for Dale Folwell for North Carolina Treasurer.
