Bunny Waller Still

Mrs. Bunny Waller Still, 58, of Wínston Salem, NC went to be with our Lord and savior on February 21, 2017, unexpectedly. Bunny was a kind and loving person. She was an active member of Agape Faith Church of Clemmons, NC. Her memory will live in her family’s hearts forever. In addition to her parents, John & Mary Waller, she was preceded in death by four brothers, John Henry, Wayne, Calvin, & William Waller. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 23 years, Raymond Still; two daughters, Deborah Marshall (Arlando), Cheryl Clark (James); a step-son, Warren Still (fiancé Deborah); three grandsons, Sanosuke, Genesis, and Josiah; five granddaughters, Alizea, Makayla, Shayla, Jada, and Aerianna; three sisters, her devoted Violet Naylor (Mike), Ruby Baugus (Dennis Larou ), and Vera Jones (Greg); four brothers, Ervin Waller (Virginia), Jimmy Waller, Johnny Waller (Debbie), and James Waller ( Helen). Also surviving are several special nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, family, and best friend, Pamela Patterson. Visitation will be at Agape Faith Church in Clemmons on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, 6-7pm. Memorial service will follow at 7:00 pm.

Phyllis Pinnix Jones

Mrs. Phyllis Pinnix Jones, 76, passed away Friday, February 24, 2017 at Bermuda Commons. She was born June 5, 1940 in Forsyth County to the late Benjamin Franklin and Hazel Luper Pinnix. Mrs. Jones was a lifelong resident of Lewisville, NC, a member of the Class of 1958 at Southwest High School and was a member of Concord United Methodist Church. She married her high school sweetheart, Larry Eugene Jones, who preceded her in death in 2013 after 54 years of marriage. She thrived on managing details which served her well for more than 30 years at R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. She also managed all the business details of her husband’s business, Jones Mechanical. She was devoted to loving and caring for her family. Throughout her life, she quietly and faithfully reached out to help people who she knew to be in need. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Nancy (Joe) Butcher, Bonnie (Reginald) Luper. Surviving are a son, Bryan Jones of Lake Worth, Florida and a daughter, Stefanie Jones of Lewisville; also surviving is a sister, Sandra Castle of Lewisville. A funeral service was held Monday, February 27, 2017 at Concord United Methodist Church with Rev. Ed Needham and Rev. Greg Freeman officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at Bermuda Commons, Liberty Hospice, and a special caregiver, Susan Allison for all the love and care that was provided to Mrs. Jones. Glenn Wayne Craver

Mr. Glenn Wayne Craver, 76, of Winston-Salem, born September 13, 1940, departed this life on February 25, 2017 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Glenn was the son of the late Paul and Elizabeth Craver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife Virginia Havener Craver, brother Charles Craver, and sisters Rachel Flynt and Margaret Brown. Glenn is survived by his wife, Thelma James Craver of the home; son, Richard Craver and wife JuliAnn of Clemmons; daughter, Sandra Dorr and husband Benjamin of Lewisville; special daughter, Karen Cummings and husband Willie of Lexington; 4 granddaughters; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, Edith Harris, Lewis Craver, Robert Craver, and Steve Craver; and sisters in law, Lillian Snapp, Lois Elaine Havener, Emily Juanita Havener, and Mary Ellen Havener. Glenn was employed for 30 years by Reynolds American as a quality control technician for Archer and Reynolds division packaging operations. He was a member of Friedberg Moravian Church and later Hopewell Moravian Church. Over the years he served as an Elder, Trustee, Sunday School teacher, Boy Scout leader and was a past president of Forsyth County Beekeepers Association. A funeral service was held Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Hopewell Moravian Church. Interment followed the service at Friedberg Moravian Church Graveyard.

Jane Raper Buckner

Mrs. Jane Raper Buckner, 83, of Winston-Salem passed away Friday, February 24, 2017. Jane was born July 10, 1933 in Forsyth County to William Grady and Beulah Raper. She worked for several years as Head Teletype Operator at Western Electric. Later, she spent time as a tour guide at Old Salem. Jane also worked with Keep Winston-Salem Beautiful and was a member of Sharon United Methodist Church. Jane’s real passion in life was her family and she will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Hiram “Butch” Buckner, granddaughter, Shannon Buckner, and brother, William Raper. Jane is survived by her daughter, Susan Exline and husband Christopher; sons, Brent Buckner and Tim Buckner and wife Kim; 8 grandchildren, Allen Exline, Laura Exline, William Exline, Perry Exline, Gilbert Gonzalez, Carlie Kowalk, and Franklin Gonzalez; 5 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and twin sister, Jean Beauchamp. A celebration of Jane’s life will be held Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 2 pm at Sharon United Methodist Church with Rev. Greg Freeman officiating. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery.
