Ruby Coe Jones

Mrs. Ruby Coe Jones, loving sister, wife, mother and grandmother, 83 of Clemmons, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017. She was born June 17, 1934 in Surry County to the late Walter and Nora Hayes Coe. Mrs. Jones had proudly retired from Hanes Hosiery after 40 years of service and later retired from Immanuel Baptist Church Day care after 15 years of loving service. She is survived by her husband, Sid Jones of the home; one son, Tim Jones; two granddaughters, Danielle and Kayla Jones; one grandson, Dustin Jones; three sisters, Mary Dalton, Betty Cox and Brenda Hutchins and one daughter-in-law, Della Jones. She follows in the lord’s light her sisters Violet Wilkes and Mittie Vannorman as well as her brothers, Grady Coe and John Coe. A funeral service was conducted at 12:00 Noon Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Immanuel Baptist Church by Pastor L.C. Taylor. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church. Robert “Bob” Jake Propst

Mr. Robert Jake Propst (Bob) entered into the gates of heaven on August 2, 2017 at his home. Bob had been in declining health for several months and was under Hospice Care at home. He was born on March 24, 1951 to Martha Phyllis and JD Propst in Catawba County. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter. He is survived by his wife, Robin Propst of the home; his son Brent Propst of Jacksonville, FL and his daughter and son in law, Kristy and Jeff Davis of Huntersville, NC. He was also blessed by his three grandchildren, Michael, Myah and Matthew Davis. Bob graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in political science in 1973. Soon after graduation, he and Robin were married on July 22. Bob was the consummate salesman and spent his career in the furniture industry and most recently with Juice Tyme based in Chicago. Bob’s hobbies were tennis, golf and particularly his dedication and devotion to Brookwood Swim Team. He dearly loved his family and being able to provide for them through his love of sales and the many relationships he enjoyed there. Services were held on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Clemmons United Methodist Church. The family received friends following the service. Percy Hill Gibson, Jr.

Mr. Percy Hill Gibson, Jr. 98, of Clemmons passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at The Crest of Clemmons. Mr. Gibson was a member of Home Moravian Church and served with the US Army during World War II. He is survived by three children, Pattie, Stan Clodfelter (Debbie) and Susan Jones (Bryan); and several grand and great grandchildren. There will be no formal service at this time.
