‘Hydrangeas: Beyond Endless Summer and Limelight,’ a Adult Education Class at the Arboretum at Tanglewood Park

Hydrangeas offer a world of possibilities to enhance the garden. Learn about their leaf color, season of bloom, and flower diversity. Note that this program will take place in Walnut Hall at the Arboretum at Tanglewood Park. This is a change in venue from its originally advertised location. John Roethling, curator of Mariana H. Quebein Arboretum and Botanical Garden, will be feature speaker. Program is free. Registration required. Sign up at

Summer Pruning workshops

•June 21, 9-10:30 a.m.
Arboretum at Tanglewood Park, 4201 Manor House Circle, Clemmons

•June 22, 9-10:30 a.m.
at Extension office, 1450 Fairchild Rd, Winston-Salem

Questions about pruning are some of the most common gardening questions. Join Extension Agent Leslie Peck to learn proper pruning techniques. These programs will cover proper pruning of ornamental plants in your landscape and will include outdoor demonstrations, so please dress accordingly. Space is limited. Please note: these two programs are identical, just held in two different locations.

Coffee, juice, and pastries are served every Sunday morning at 9:45 a.m. Children’s and adult Sunday School starts at 10 a.m. Worship service with Pastor Michael Duffield begins at 11 a.m. Special music by Lonnie and Faye Maines, and the Victory Singers. Wednesday evening is “Just As I Am” casual and family service. Dinner is served at 6:20 p.m. followed by a Bible service led by Pastor Mike at 7 p.m. All people of Christian faith are encouraged to attend.
