Clemmons resident faces child sexual exploitation charges

 A Clemmons resident has been arrested and charged with child sexual exploitation as a result of a multi-county investigation.

On the early morning hours of June 22, the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office and Davie County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Brent Maurice Ward at his residence at 647 Barrocliff Road in Clemmons. He was charged with 10 counts of felony second degree sexual exploitation of a minor. Ward is currently in the Forsyth County Detention Center under a $500,000 bond. Preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 12. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected.
