WINSTON-SALEM — The Sergei Foundation is pleased to announce it has received a charitable grant of $5,000 from Clemmons Community Foundation. This grant is designated to its veterinary programs, restricted to helping senior citizens who reside in Clemmons or Lewisville, obtain medical veterinary care for their sick or injured companion dog or cat. These services assist limited-income pet owners by alleviating discomfort or pain for their pets, or euthanasia, due to lack of finances. Addressing both human and animal welfare services, aid provided by The Sergei Foundation also alleviates the difficult decision-making process for some pet-owners when they must choose between veterinary care or other basic needs such as food or medical services.

“We are proud to have the support of Clemmons Community Foundation,” says the non-profit’s founder and CEO, Karen Fullerton. “This grant will help target a specific generation that often does not like to reach out for help, although we know the need is there.”

To apply for aid, fill out the online form at SergeiFoundation.org. If seniors have trouble filling out the form or attaching any requested information, they may email The Sergei Foundation for assistance at info@sergeifoundation.org. They also may ask their veterinarian to reach out to the foundation directly should it be a time-critical emergency.
