Sister2Sister International Outreach Ministry to hold annual “A Taste of Kenya Dinner”

On Saturday Sept. 22, from 5 to 7 p.m., Sister2Sister International Outreach Ministry will hold its annual “A Taste of Kenya Dinner” at St. John’s Lutheran Church & School, 2415 Silas Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem. The African-style food will be prepared by Purity Ruchugo, from Kenya, Africa, who founded the Sister2Sister International non-profit organization. The organization’s mission is to “bring wholeness into the lives of broken women and children.”

Sister2Sister International’s current major project is the construction of a children’s home and school located in Ngong, Kenya, Africa. When completed, the facility will house, feed, and educate the neediest children from the local area. All funds raised by the “A Taste of Kenya Dinner” will go to support this project.

Tickets are $25 per person, $5 for kids 12 and under, and can be purchased online at www.SistersInternationalWomen.org/events or at Umoja African Arts retail store, 535 N. Trade St., Winston-Salem.
