Titan Tattler: Get to know me
Published 12:00 am Thursday, September 20, 2018
Hello, Clemmons Courier! My name is Sarah Lindsay, and I will be your Titan Tattler for the 2018-2019 school year. I’m looking forward to sharing all about the happenings of West Forsyth with you. Before I get started, I’d like to let you know a little bit about myself.
I am 17 years old and entering my senior year at West. I moved to Clemmons from Hopewell, Virginia, when I was 7, as my dad became the pastor of New Hope Church, and I have loved living here ever since. I have three siblings, all brothers (and all taller than me, despite the fact that I am the second oldest).
Ever since I was a little girl, writing has been a passion of mine, and along with it has come a deep interest in journalism and editorial writing. This year marks my third as a staff writer for our high school newspaper, The Zephyr, and my second as co-editor in chief. Alongside this, I also participate in the Quill and Scroll and English honor societies, which have helped me further my knowledge of writing and its mechanics. When I graduate, I hope to pursue a career in editing and publishing by way of a double major in english and journalism.
In addition to my academic pursuits, I have also been a member of the volleyball team since my freshman year. I found my love for volleyball when I was 10 years old, and since then, I have never been able to put the ball down. This season marks my third as team co-captain, and I truly enjoy getting to compete and have fun with my teammates on a daily basis. As of last week, we just entered our first round of conference matchups, so look out for our schedule, because this year should be a good one.
So that’s me! I hope you’ll stay tuned for a weekly glimpse into student life at West Forsyth.
