As we near the thick of the holiday season, things are beginning to wind down in anticipation of the festivities. December and November are always highly anticipated months due to the number of days students have off. With that being said, here’s just a few things going on at West.

The varsity football team will take on their highly competitive rival Ronald Reagan High School during the first round of the 4A state playoffs this Friday, at 7:30 p.m.. The game will take place at West Forsyth, as they are the higher seeded team. West Forsyth is No. 7 seed whereas Ronald Reagan received a No. 10 seed. Students from both schools are gearing up for an intense match, as Ronald Reagan looks to redeem their loss from the week before. On Nov. 8, the titans beat Reagan 21-16 at Reagan High School, so the Titans are looking for a clean sweep. The winner of this match will go on to play second-seeded Richmond High School, so come on out and support your Titans!

The Student Services department launched an online Google calendar which students can use to schedule counseling appointments, make note of appointment topics, and communicate better with their respective counselors. The link can be accessed from anywhere, so students won’t have to sacrifice class time in order to schedule appointments. If you need to access this link, go to www.sites.google.com/wsfcs.k12.nc.us/students-service-appointments/home .
