After conducting a regional search, Lewisville Town Manager Hank Perkins announced the hiring of Stacy Yates Tolbert as the new town planner.

“We are extremely excited to welcome Mrs. Tolbert to our staff here in Lewisville,” Perkins said. “She brings a wealth of planning knowledge and experience. She will be a great asset for the Town.”

Tolbert, a Forsyth native, will join the Lewisville staff in December bringing more than 10 years of experience in planning. She served as planner for Rockingham County from 2007 until 2016 and as environmental planner for Lincoln County from 2006 until 2007. Tolbert most recently worked in Forsyth County’s MapForsyth City-County Geographic Information Office, where she began work in 2016.

Tolbert attended high school at North Forsyth and completed a double major in community and regional planning and geography from Appalachian State University.

She lives in Rural Hall with her husband and two young children.

Tolbert will take on many ongoing planning projects including new subdivision development, the other expansions or developments within the town.
