Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools will hold their college financial aid night tonight from 6-8 p.m in the WSFCS Education Building located at 4801 Bethania Station Road. Seniors and parents may learn and ask questions about financial aid forms such as the FAFSA in addition to applying for scholarships. The event will feature representatives from the College Foundation of North Carolina, the Winston-Salem Foundation and the University of North Carolina Greensboro Latino Education Department. Representatives from various high schools will also be available to answer school-specific questions.

As a result of the torrential Winter Storm Diego, the West Forsyth Dance Concert was rescheduled for Jan. 9-11. The first show took place last night, and the girls have two shows left. The concert will take place in the Anderson Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m., and tickets are $5 at the door. The show features numbers from the freshman-senior dance classes, the dance honor society and select honors projects. Make sure to come out and support all the hard work that they have put in over the last three months!

The Spanish department is sponsoring an international excursion to Spain in June, and it is open to all students. Participants will visit seven different cities in Spain. For more information, please contact Ms. Lizano in room 2102 or email her at mlizano@wsfcs.k12.nc.us.

Just a reminder that West’s “Explore the Possibilities” event for prospective students will be Wednesday, Jan. 30, at 6 p.m. in the Anderson Performing Arts Center. All are welcome to come and learn about the academic, athletic and extracurricular opportunities that West has to offer.
