The Village of Clemmons and Waste Management announce a free electronics recycling event on Saturday, Jan. 12. Residents with a Clemmons address or living within the corporate boundaries of the Village of Clemmons can drop-off and properly dispose of electronic devices free of charge between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. in the parking lot of the Public Works Complex at 3800 Dillon Industrial Drive.

“This event allows residents an easy way to safely and conveniently recycle unwanted electronics and appliances,” said Scott Buffkin, village manager. “The e-recycling process minimizes the amount of hazardous and harmful materials that would normally end up in landfills.”

Items that will be accepted include computers, CD/DVD players, gaming systems, hair dryers, most battery powered hand tools, and televisions. Items not accepted include liquids, oil filters, and hazardous material. For a full listing of items accepted, go to www.clemmons.org or www.facebook.com/villageofclemmonsnc.
