Clemmons Elementary School held its spelling bee on Jan. 17. Fifth-grader Brady Vallance, of Dr. Annette Beatty’s class, was the winner. His winning word was “grandiose.” He will be competing in the upcoming district spelling bee on Feb. 8, located at WSFCS Education Building at 4801 Bethania Station Road in Winston-Salem.
