As spring begins to blossom, after-school activities at West Forsyth burst into action. Without the dreary cold of winter to drag them down, students everywhere are showcasing their talents in a variety of ways. With just a little more than three months left in the school year, there’s a lot to get done. Here’s what’s first on the lineup.

The junior and senior prom will be held from 7-11 p.m. on April 6 at the Millennium Center. Tickets will be sold during lunch in the cafeteria lobby on March 25-29, and after school in the main office on March 27-29. Ticket prices on the aforementioned dates will be $40, cash only. Tickets will also be sold after school in the main office on April 1-3; however, prices will increase to $45. In order to purchase a prom ticket, a student must have a valid photo ID and no outstanding school debts. If a student plans on bringing a guest that is not a West Forsyth student, they must have a completed guest form upon purchasing their tickets.

Spirit Week will be next Wednesday, March 13, through Tuesday, March 19, in order to kick off the spring sports season! The student “themes” are as follows: Wacky Tacky, Twin Day, Jersey Day, St. Patty’s Day and Green and Gold Day, in that order. On Friday, March 15, there will be a pep rally during fourth period. Additionally, Green and Gold Day is organized by grade levels, and freshman can wear white, sophomores can wear gold, juniors can wear green and seniors can wear all colors. Make sure to come to school decked out in Titan pride!

The ACT has been rescheduled for March 12, and all West Forsyth juniors will take it. They should come to school with a photo ID and a working calculator to assist them on the test. The class schedule will be altered for all non-participating students, so keep an eye out for the updated schedule.
