Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

As third quarter is coming to a close, most students are simply trying to make it across the finish line. In order to give them the extra push they need, the school has many events in place that can be used to boost student morale. Spring break is on the horizon, and will be April 13-21; here’s what’s happening until then.

Prom is right around the corner! It will be held on April 6, from 7-11 p.m. at the Millenium Center in downtown Winston-Salem. Tickets went on sale earlier this week and will continue to be sold tomorrow during lunches in the cafeteria lobby and after school in the main office for $40 — cash only. Ticket sales will remain open next week; however, they will only be sold in the main office after school at an increased price of $45. When purchasing a ticket, a student must have no school debts and show a valid photo ID. If a student intends to bring a guest, they will also need to bring a completed guest form.

The West Forsyth PTSA is now accepting nominations for executive board positions for the 2019-2020 school year. The nomination form may be found on the daily announcements, which are posted on the school’s website. A person may submit multiple nominations; however, a separate form must be completed for each entry. The deadline to submit a nomination form is April 5.

There will be an open house at Forsyth Technical Community College from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 13. Students who are considering Forsyth Tech as an option for post-graduate education are strongly encouraged to attend in order to get a better picture of what they have to offer. Contact Mrs. Hayes in the main office for more information.
