On Sunday afternoon, Trinity Elms assisted living celebrated 20 years of service to the Clemmons community. To the beautiful strains of a West Forsyth High School string quintet conducted by Becky Green, guests enjoyed refreshments, a slide show, and artwork from local students. Executive Director Tess McMullen recognized the community’s long-term employees, including Gwen Hamlin and Leslie Lineberry, who have served at Trinity Elms since its opening as the Elms at Tanglewood in 1999.

Built by Roger Harris, the business was operated for nine years by Dan and Charlotte Tullock. Lutheran Services Carolinas acquired the Elms at Tanglewood in 2008 and has since expanded the campus with the construction of Trinity Elms health and rehab and, most recently, Trinity Elms independent living apartments. Frandee Nichols, the former executive director of Trinity Elms assisted living, is now executive director of the apartments.

Trinity Elms assisted living is located at 3750 Harper Road. For information, call 336-766-2131.
