Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

With both AP exams and end-of-course exams upon us, the next few weeks of school will be both confusing and strenuous. Each and every student is simply looking toward the end of the year and hoping to make it across the finish line. Make sure to stay updated on scheduling by visiting the West Forsyth website. In the meantime, here’s what’s going on at West.

The Girls Service Club will be hosting a blood drive from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on May 21 in the Anderson Performing Arts Center. Students who are interested in donating should visit the American Red Cross website to sign up or contact Kathy Johnson at kpj@wsfcs.k12.nc.us for more information.

Senior athletes who would like to apply for the Green Blanket award should pick up an application in the athletic director’s office or print if off the West Forsyth website. Completed applications should be turned in no later than May 7.

All seniors should turn in copies of any merit award or scholarship letters they have received to student services by May 13, even if they do not plan to attend the offering university. Students can turn in paper copies or screenshots/pictures of their awards in person or via email to their counselor or Mrs. Wyshner. In addition, seniors who want their post-graduation plans to appear in the final, senior issue of the Zephyr should fill out the senior-exit Google form that can be found on the Zephyr twitter. Simply go on twitter, search @ZephyrWFHS and click the pinned link.

If you’re seeking summer employment, be sure to visit the West Forsyth website for more information on seasonal jobs. Check the daily announcements for a detailed list of openings. Everyone from the YMCA to Immanuel Baptist Daycare is hiring, so there’s a little something for everyone!
