Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

With only two weeks left in the school year, things are beginning to wind down at West. Advanced Placement exams are now a thing of the past, but final exams have yet to be completed. Here’s some information about the last few events of the 2018-2019 school year.

All library books are due on May 31 by the end of school. In addition, students should turn in all textbooks by the end of the year. Failure to turn in any of these items will result in a student being placed on the debt list, which can inhibit a student’s ability to purchase prom tickets and graduate.

Students interested in joining the color guard should attend workouts next week, May 20-23 from 4-6 p.m. in the band room. Come prepared with a water bottle, athletic clothing and tennis shoes. No prior experience is needed. See Ms. Gartley in room 1023 or stop by room 601 for more information.

Seniors who have not completed the senior exit form should do so as soon as possible. The link to this form is available on the West Forsyth website and helps the school gather information for class of 2019 statistics as well as ensures they send students’ final transcripts to the correct schools. Parents may assist their kids in completing this form, and multiple entries may be submitted if a student’s information needs to be updated.

Final exams will begin next week on Thursday, May 30. Students should remember to leave all phones, smart watches and other electronics at home so that they do not disrupt an exam. Students cannot be signed out of an exam period early; moreover, attendance will be taken each day of exams and will count toward athletic eligibility. In order to leave after an exam period, students should bring a note to the main office by 8:45 a.m. and have it stamped so that they may give it to their teacher.
