ELKIN — Rep. Virginia Foxx will host her annual Veterans Information Session on Friday, July 19, from 2-4 p.m., at the National Guard Armory in Elkin. With the initial launch of the V.A. Mission Act last month, this information session will provide a timely opportunity to learn about the new ways VA healthcare beneficiaries can streamline their access to community care programs. Veterans Affairs Department representatives and veterans service organizations will be in attendance to discuss issues and benefits important to those who have served in America’s Armed Forces and their families.  Available services include: reviewing the status of a case, starting a claim for compensation, and signing up for VA healthcare.

“The entire nation owes a huge debt of gratitude to veterans and ensuring that debt is properly repaid is one of my top priorities in Congress,” Rep. Foxx stated.  “My hope is that this information session will successfully connect veterans and their families with resources to help them make the most of the healthcare, education, financial options available to them.”

The National Guard Armory is located at 1775 N. Bridge St. in Elkin.
