Titans roll to 61-0 win against HP Central; will play Mount Tabor Friday

The West Forsyth football team continues to roll along.

The Titans piled 522 yards of total offense and had five interceptions in posting their first shutout of the season in a 61-0 win at High Point Central last Friday to improve to 4-0.

The Titans dominated in all facets. The running game once again piled up big numbers, with G’mone Wilson rushing 12 times for 136 yards and four rushing touchdowns to go along with one receiving touchdown and Zy Dillard finished with 10 carries for 140 yards and a touchdown.

Quarterback Jalen Ferguson had an efficient and effective performance by completing 8 of 12 passes for 168 yards and two touchdowns, and Pat Smith, Slade Garraghty, Giovanni Ricciardi, Kendall Williams and Will Knight all had interceptions to spark the shutout.

Wilson had touchdown runs of 1, 50, 3, and 2 yards to go along with a 34-yard touchdown reception from Ferguson.

Ferguson also had a 36-yard touchdown pass to Braylen Morris

Dillard scored on a 43-yard touchdown run in the second quarter as the Titans built a 41-0 at halftime.

West is averaging 51.25 points per game and has allowed 33 points (8.25 points per game) through the first four games of the season.

The Titans will return home this Friday and take on Mount Tabor (2-2) in the final home game of the non-conference schedule.
