There is no doubt that October is an exciting time for the Titans with fun-filled events coming up such as the Dixie Classic Fair, which will arrive Friday, Oct. 4, homecoming on Oct. 18, and of course, a month full of football.

On Friday, the varsity football team will be playing an away game against Page High School, with the West Wackos club planning on loud and proud student section sporting their tie-dye gear. This game against the Pirates will begin at 7:30 p.m. Today, the boy’s varsity soccer team will take on Davie at home at 7 p.m.

On Wednesday, Oct. 9, the University of Vermont will be visiting West to talk to prospective students in the media center from 8:15-8:50 a.m. This mountainous school located in Burlington, Vermont, is known for its College of Medicine and has a history as rich as the nature surrounding it with its founding in 1791.

Seniors should plan on ordering their baby ads to be featured in the Cronus yearbook by Friday, Oct. 4, for discounted prices and a guaranteed spot. Printable forms can be found on the West Forsyth website.

Also on the website is the latest Nine Muses literary magazine done by West’s chapter of the National English Honor Society. The online version of the magazine features art, poetry, and short stories by West’s talented base of student artists and writers from the 2018-2019 school year.

Though October can be filled with many spooks and frights (like the end of the first quarter of school), the Titans are in for a great month!
