Get in the holiday spirit and be the first to see the Tanglewood Festival of Lights at the 7th Annual Miles for Meals 5K & Family Fun Festival on Saturday, Nov. 9. This is a great charity event for the entire family to enjoy.

Proceeds from the race support the Hillsdale United Methodist Church’s Manna Meals Food Ministry, which provides food for families in need throughout Davie and Forsyth counties. The ministry began in 2008 in response to the growing problem of hunger and food insecurity in our local community. The food ministry is completely coordinated, supported, and delivered by volunteers. Manna Meals operates five days a week in various locations throughout the community proudly serving over 25,000 meals and giving away thousands of dollars worth of groceries each year. The food ministry is completed funded by the Miles for Meals 5K and generous financial support from local businesses and supporters in the community. The ministry is growing to meet the needs of our community and needs your help. Now is the chance to fight hunger one step at a time. The event begins at 4:30 p.m. with free bounce houses, hayrides under the lights, face painting and an array of food trucks. The 5K race will begin at 5:30 p.m., so come early to get in the holiday spirit and support this wonderful cause.
