Teal Diva founder speaks at monthly chamber meeting
The Lewisville-Clemmons Chamber of Commerce held its monthly meeting last week and the guest speaker was Shannon Routh, Founder of Teal Diva. Shannon was diagnosed with stage 2 clear cell ovarian cancer in 2009 at the age of 32 and went through six rounds of chemotherapy, finishing on Feb 18, 2010, and has been cancer-free since.
Since founding Teal Diva, Shannon has established all-inclusive retreats for women battling these cancers, as well as the Teal Diva Fund at Novant Health Presbyterian Cancer Center. Additionally, she has coordinated fundraising events such as the Teal Diva 5K in Charlotte and Charleston, S.C., Teal Masquerade, and Cooking For a Cause, raising over $400,000 to date.
