BERMUDA RUN — Wake Forest Baptist Health – Davie Medical Center has been named a 2019 Guardian of Excellence and 2019 Pinnacle of Excellence Award winner by Press Ganey, a national patient experience company.

Presented annually, the Guardian of Excellence Award is a nationally-recognized symbol of achievement, honoring health care organizations that consistently perform in the top 5 percent in patient experience. This year’s award was given for three different areas: inpatient services, medical practice and ambulatory surgery.

In addition to the Guardian award, Davie Medical Center received The Pinnacle of Excellence Award which recognizes top-performing health care organizations nationwide on the basis of extraordinary achievement and consistently high levels of excellence for at least three years. This award has been given to the hospital’s ambulatory surgery department.

“While these honors highlight specific departments, I want our community to know that all of our team members at Davie Medical Center have helped to make this achievement possible,” said Chad Brown, president of Davie Medical Center. “This award recognizes the passion for care that each member of our team provides on a daily basis to our patients.”

“Congratulations to Davie Medical Center for receiving these distinguished awards,” said Patrick T. Ryan, executive chairman of Press Ganey. “This honor reflects their unwavering commitment to improving the safety, quality, and experience of care.”
