WINSTON-SALEM — Novant Health has announced the grand opening of the Novant Health Neurosciences and Spine Center located at 190 Kimel Park Drive in Winston-Salem. The center will provide comprehensive neurology and spine care for Triad patients, all conveniently located under one roof.

“For decades, Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center has provided top-quality stroke and neurology care for the region. The Neurosciences and Spine Center allows us to extend our multidisciplinary expertise to the outpatient setting,” said Chad Setliff, president and chief operating officer of Novant Health’s Winston-Salem market. “Patients seeking neurologic care frequently require the support of more than one specialist, surgeon or therapist. A neurologist will provide follow-up care for a patient who is recovering from a stroke but that patient may also need physical and occupational therapy. Co-locating a broad spectrum of services in one location makes care more accessible from a physical standpoint but also improves our ability to address the diverse care needs of our patients, their families and caregivers.”

The following clinics have relocated to the center:

  • Novant Health Brain and Spine Surgery
  • Novant Health Memory Care
  • Novant Health Neurology and Sleep
  • Novant Health Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
  • Novant Health Spine Specialists
  • Novant Health Stroke Bridge Clinic

“With nearly 58,000 square feet of space, the Neurosciences and Spine Center increases the physical capacity of the clinics, improving wait times for patients and eliminating the need to rush between appointments at different locations,” said Margaret Thompson, director of neurosciences for Novant Health’s Winston-Salem market. “The center also includes space for specialized programming, such as Memory Makers, a supportive arts and exercise program for memory care patients and their caregivers.”
