With a little over a week left of school before winter break, the Titans are bringing the heat in this chilly month of December. On Wednesday, the Titans enjoyed an early release day and were let out of school two hours early. Let’s see what else West has been up to.

On Friday, the boys varsity basketball team will take on Grimsley High School in Greensboro at 7:30 p.m. They will also take on Northwest Guilford High School on Dec. 14, and Mount Tabor High School on Dec. 17 at home. Come out and support your Titans.

Friday is senior day for all West Forsyth seniors. Senior day is a school day committed to all senior activities such as cap and gown pictures, group pictures and teacher-given seminars related to after-high-school plans. Seniors should remember to wear formal attire for this event.

On Tuesday, Dec. 17, all letter jackets ordered in October will be available for pick up in the old gym lobby during all four lunches from noon- 2 p.m. Orders for new jackets may also be placed on Dec. 17. A deposit of $175 must accompany all orders placed.

Friday is the last day to donate to the Kimberly Park Elementary Holiday Book Drive. Please consider donating gently used children’s books in the donation box located in the media center. All donations will give elementary school students access to literature this holiday season.

Go Titans!
