Charles and Alice Morrison

Charles and Alice Morrison celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Dec. 25. Both originally from eastern Tennessee, they were married there on Christmas Day 1954. They moved to Clemmons in June 1966. Prior to their marriage, Charles, from Churchill, Tennessee, served in the United States Air Force. Alice, from Rogersville, Tennessee, was a teacher. Charles worked for Piedmont Airlines as a flight dispatcher and retired after 35 years of service. Alice graduated from nursing school at Forsyth Tech and retired from Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center as a nurse working in plastic surgery for Dr. Howell. Charles is a 32nd degree Mason and was for many years an active member of the Shriners. Alice was also an active member for many years of the Eastern Star. They have been members of Clemmons First Baptist Church for 53 years. Their children are Michael C. Morrison (deceased) and Mark A. Morrison (Cathy) of Charlotte. Grandchildren are Rebecca Morrison and Matthew Morrison of Charlotte.
