It’s the most wonderful time of the year for the Titans: winter break. This year, West Forsyth students and staff will relax over a 16-day break and enjoy everything the holidays have to offer. While many students are looking forward to the possibility of snow, others are headed for clearer skies.
“(I’m looking forward to) traveling to Florida,” senior Audrey Gay said.
Many students are also catching some Z’s over the holidays, taking a break from the grueling early mornings of the school year.
“(I’m excited to be) catching up on sleep!” senior Ella Orgain said.
“(I’m ready) to stay in pajamas all day,” senior Annabelle Shires said.
Others are ready to spend time with friends and family on the several holidays being celebrated over the break.
“(I can’t wait for) Christmas and spending time with friends and family!” freshman Sydney Norman said.
“(I’m ready to) hang out with friends and for New Year’s,” senior Raahim Khan said. Many students are using this time to give back to the community and to get closer to fellow Clemmons residents.
“(The best part of the holidays is) baking goodies with my family to pass around the neighborhood,” senior Grace Bell said.
Also giving back over the break is West Forsyth’s very own Key Club headed by English teacher Theresa Bryant. Over the holidays, Key Club has collected gifts for Brenner’s Children’s Hospital and has set up Ronald McDonald House Luminaries for Samaritan Ministries.
Happy holidays, and as always, go Titans!
