Exams started Wednesday for West Forsyth students. This exam period will end Tuesday. Though exam week can be stressful for students, it finds its silver lining in signaling the end of first semester. Let’s see what else the Titans are up to this week.
Last week, the boys and girls varsity basketball teams played the Davie County War Eagles on Friday. The boys team lost 47-36, while the girls team swept a win with a final score of 60-16. On Friday, both teams will take on R.J. Reynolds High School at Reynolds. The game will begin at 7:30 p.m., so come out and support your Titans!
Parents interested in learning more information about the 2020-2021 class registration should attend the registration information meeting being held Wednesday, Jan. 29, in the Anderson Performing Arts Center (APAC). After the meeting, there will also be teachers from each department to address any possible questions. This event will begin at 6 p.m.
West’s Girls Service Club will be sponsoring a blood drive with the American Red Cross on Wednesday, Feb. 26. If you are interested in donating, contact Kathy Johnson at kpj@wsfcs.k12.nc.us to schedule a donation time.
Next week, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, there will be no school on Monday, Jan. 20. Students will also enjoy time off on Thursday, Jan. 23, and Friday, Jan. 24, for teacher workdays, marking the end of the second quarter.
Go Titans!
