Lyerly named to the University of Kentucky College of Arts and Sciences dean’s list

LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY — Blake Lyerly, of Lewisville, has been named to the dean’s list at University of Kentucky College of Arts & Sciences for the fall 2019 semester. Lyerly’s major is chemistry. Students on the dean’s list earned 12 or more credit hours as letter grades with a minimum 3.60 GPA for the semester.

Steele earns degree at George Fox University

NEWBERG, OREGON — Mark Steele, of Lewisville, was among more than 200 undergraduate, adult degree and graduate-level students who received diplomas from George Fox University at its Dec. 14, 2019, midyear commencement ceremony. Steele earned a doctor of ministry.

Tierney named to dean’s list at Coastal Carolina University

CONWAY, S.C. — Hannah Tierney, a chemistry major from Clemmons, has been named to the dean’s list at Coastal Carolina University for the fall 2019 semester. Students on the dean’s list have a grade point average between 3.5-3.99.

Local students named to president’s, dean’s lists at Clemson University

CLEMSON, S.C. — Local students have been named to the president’s list at Clemson University for the fall 2019 semester.

• Lauren Walker Lewis, of Clemmons, whose major is health science

• Caroline E. Mabe, of Winston-Salem, whose major is civil engineering

To be named to the president’s list, a student must achieve a 4.0 (all A’s) grade-point average.

To be named to the dean’s list, a student must achieve a grade-point average between 3.50 and 3.99 on a 4.0 scale.

Local students named to Mars Hill University dean’s list

MARS HILL — The following students were named to the dean’t list at Mars Hill University for the fall 2019 semester. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a grade point average of 3.5 on a minimum of 12 semester hours, and carry no grade below a C.

Parker named to the University of New Hampshire’s dean’s list

DURHAM, N.H. — Kailey Parker, of Mocksville, has been named to the dean’s list at the University of New Hampshire for earning high honors for the fall 2019 semester. Parker is majoring in anthropology.

Students named to the dean’s list are enrolled in a full-time course load (12 or more graded credits) and have a grade point average of 3.65 to 3.84.
