Seabon Leroy Cornatzer

Mr. Seabon Leroy Cornatzer, 89, died on Friday, Jan. 24, 2020, at Accordius Health of Clemmons. Seabon was born in Davie County on Nov. 14, 1930, to Jinnie Myers and Walter Thurman Cornatzer. He ran the Sinclair service station for many years and was the owner and proprietor of Cornatzer Septic Service for over 30 years. He truly never met a stranger, love to wheel and deal, and enjoyed running dogs and rabbit hunting. Many of his friends would gather on Saturday and Sunday at his garage that was fondly referred to as the “Liars Club” where they would conversate and share embellished tales. Above all Seabon was a devoted husband and beloved son and brother. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his adoring wife, Lois Holder Cornatzer; brother, Joe Cornatzer; sister, Betty Shore; half-sisters, Helen Snipes and Evelyn White; two nephews, and a niece. Surviving are two brothers, Thurman Cornatzer and Connie Cornatzer (Arlene); sisters, Mildred Carter, Ruby Potts, Gean Livengood (Bill), and Jane Saunders; and 16 nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2020, at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel. Interment followed at Advance United Methodist Church. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 27, 2020, at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciate to Hospice Palliative Care for their support during this difficult time.
