WINSTON-SALEM — The 31st Annual Original Triad Home & Garden Show will be held from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, and from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 23 at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds’ Education Building (enter Gate 7 for free parking).

The 2020 Triad Home & Garden Show is sponsored by Pella Windows and Doors, and Sheally Insurance Group — bringing it all together under one roof for one-stop home and garden shopping. Individuals can gather and learn at seminars; personally connect with professionals in the industry; and see, touch and feel new products for home and garden while making plans for their home transformations. Two days to talk with builders, remodelers, mortgage lenders, walk through garden areas, have conversations with aging-in-place professionals, and dream big about home and garden project plans.

This year’s Learning Stop will again feature remodeling tips with Erik Anderson, Dreammaker Bath & Kitchen and Anderson Moore Builders, along with new guest speakers, Dan Dockery sharing Best Practices for Living Tiny Legally, and Carmen Shenk talking Faith, Art and Tiny Houses. Seminar sponsors are Coldwell Banker Triad Realtors and Hubbard Commercial LLC.

If tiny living has piqued your interest, visit the show to see a tiny home under construction and a tiny home on wheels. See winning tiny home designs by college students in Forsyth Technical Community College’s Architectural Design program, talk with Scott Jones of Tiny House Greensboro and learn about a similar project coming to Winston-Salem to help end homelessness.

The WSFCS Career Center carpentry program will have student made items for sale to raise funds in support of their Habitat house build, and Habitat ReStore will feature Design Rooms with upcycled items made into comfy living spaces by local designers (including Leigh Ann Raines, Chic by Design) and Forsyth Technical Community College Interior Design students.

Tickets are $8 at the door, with a $1 off coupon available on the website, Facebook, Instagram or the Winston Salem Journal. Free parking is located at Gate 7 and is handicap accessible. The grand prize is sponsored by Pella Windows & Doors. Food trucks will be on site both days.

A portion of proceeds from Triad Home and Garden Show will be given to Habitat for Humanity of Forsyth County, helping them to provide safe, comfortable, affordable homes. This year will continue the tradition — 30 years giving back to Habitat.
