William (Ivy) Daniel IV was recognized on Feb. 19 as the Rotary Club of Clemmons Student of the Month for Feb. 2020.

According to West Forsyth High School: William, known as “Ivy,” is a strong student leader at West. Ivy has been a pleasure to watch grow into a confident, young man that is a mover and shaker at West. He is not afraid to put himself out there to build up school spirit, give back to others and make an impact. He is a fantastic representative of the kind of students we have at West and hope to have more of!”

Daniel has been an outstanding academic achiever during his high school career ranking 210th out of a class of 574, with a GPA of 3.78 and a Crosby Scholar.

In addition to his academic accomplishments at West Forsyth, Daniel has been active in the following: West Wackos (Spirit Club) and current president; social media account coordinator for West’s sporting events; men’s varsity tennis team and captain; men’s Service Club member; performs morning announcements at West for gameday promotions and school spirit; and a leader in Future Christians of America.

Outside of school, Daniel works at Pete’s Restaurant where he has performed almost every duty available in the restaurant from busing tables to cooking and cash register. He loves working there and the interaction with other employees and customers.

Daniel will be attending college this fall and hopes to study sports management at Appalachian State University.

The Rotary Club of Clemmons congratulates Daniel for his accomplishments and contributions to his school and community.
