After a week full of early releases and unexpected snow days, the Titans are back at it again with a full week. Last Friday, Feb. 21, school was cancelled due to dangerous wintery weather giving students time to relax and catch up on homework. Let’s see what else the Titans have been up to.
Tonight, the International Banquet is being held in the Cafeteria from 6-8 p.m. This celebration of the many diverse cultures at West is only $5, or free if you bring a dish or participate in the fashion show. Be sure to check this event out. To sign up, get a form from Dr. Pinochet in room 2101.
On Tuesday, March 3, the West Forsyth Prom Closet will be open for business. The Prom Closet is a store of new and gently used prom attire such as dresses, tuxedos, accessories, and more all for sale under $50. It will be open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 3:50-4:30 p.m. in room 1022. The Prom Closet will accept both cash and checks. Get your prom on before it closes on March 27.
On Thursday, March 12, West will be hosting its annual career fair for all students freshman through seniors. This event will last through all four lunches in the Old Gym and will feature businesses, volunteer organizations, branches of the military, and even some colleges and universities. Students are encouraged to stop by during their third period lunch break.
Go Titans!
