Susan Styles Johnston, of Clemmons and former manager of corporate personnel, was promoted to the new position of manager, affirmative action affairs at Hanes Corporation.

Linwood Locklear completed a one-year term as a member of Redken Laboratories National Retail Center advisory panel.

The Rev. Truman C. Stephens accepted the pastorate of Community Baptist Church in Lewisville.

The West Forsyth Senior High VICA club officers for the 1976-77 school year were: Mark Ellis, president; Darlene Conrad, vice-president; Dianna Church, secretary; Dale Folwell, treasurer; Randy Shelton, parliamentarian; Nancy Wright, historian and Lee Safley, reporter.

The senior high Acteens from Lewisville Baptist Church elected officers for the coming quarter. The officers were: Paula Canada, president; Patricia Black, study leader; Sandra Foster and Elaine Rhodes, activity leaders and Amy Hill, treasurer. Mrs. Peggy Vestal was the adult leader for the group.

The West Forsyth Titan varsity football team had a record of 0-8 and was still searching for their first win of the season.

The Clemmons Cowboy Pee Wee football team beat the Mt. Tabor Falcons 14-8.

James Ring, 11, and son of Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Ring, Jr. of Clemmons, broke the record for the most tournaments won in a season in a youth league at the Putt-Putt in Winston-Salem.

Heffners Land of Food had a carton of six Pepsi-Colas for $1.29, JFG Rich and Creamy Mayonnaise for 69 cents a quart and Pet Ritz frozen pie shells three for $1 package of two.
