Following a relaxing spring break, the Titans have returned to online learning and are wrapping up their fifth week of virtual learning. While prospects of returning back to school remain unclear, West has shown just how effective e-learning can be. Let’s see what else the Titans are up to.
AP exams will be taken over a two-week period from Monday, May 11, to Friday, May 22. These exams will be largely essay-based and taken over a 45-minute period. Students preparing for these exams can access Collegeboard’s virtual review materials on their website. In addition, students who need access to internet devices for these exams can make a request to Collegeboard on their website until Friday.
For many seniors, a notice of their graduation requirement completions should arrive in their school emails on Monday. However, seniors will still have several opportunities to celebrate their achievements. The Zephyr is taking submissions for after-high school plans; be sure to fill it out the Google form to be featured in the senior map. The yearbook staff is also compiling photos for the senior slideshow, and these can be submitted to their Instagram page at @westforsythyearbook or to a yearbook staff member. Currently, graduation is still scheduled for 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 13.
It’s been more than a month since the Titans and students across the state have been in school, which means more than a month of not seeing teachers, classmates and friends. This transition has been difficult, so I encourage my fellow Titans to stay connected and remember that we will get through this together. Go Titans!
