There are 25 new cases reported today. Over the weekend, there were 39 new cases reported on Saturday, 30 new cases reported on Sunday, and 28 new cases reported on Monday. There have been 6,457 laboratory-confirmed cases and 82 deaths in Forsyth County. All cases reported by the Forsyth County Department of Public Health are Forsyth County residents. Of the 6,457, 5,685 are presumed recovered. The case count is subject to change throughout the day but will only be reported once per day in the daily briefing.

The public health director will provide a detailed briefing at 2 p.m. at the beginning of the Sept. 10 board of county commissioners meeting, which will be conducted remotely. The public can listen to and watch the meeting on WSTV-13 or go to https://www.cityofws.org/493/WSTV-13
