Clemmons West Homeowner’s Association recently held its annual National Night Out honoring the first responders and our local Forsyth County deputies, adapting to our current situation during the COVID-19 pandemic. Originally scheduled in August at the CWRA shelter, the event was delayed until Oct. 6 and hosted by Chief Jerry Brooks at the James Street fire station. Chick-Fil-A donated chicken nuggets, cookies, sweet tea and the HOA bought sub sandwiches and a cake. Joan and Stan Fleishman fixed a special dessert of macaroons.
A special thanks goes out to Judith Houver, Charles Sherrill, Mary Catherine Vicens and Mike Rogers who coordinated the event and delivered the food with all the condiments.
