Forsyth County Public Library will be closed Dec. 24-28 and Jan. 1.
Children’s programs:
• Storytime with Santa (Virtual)
Thursday, Dec. 3 at 10 a.m.
Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will be visiting the Forsyth County Public Library virtually for storytime all the way from the North Pole. Stories, rhymes, songs and activities for children on a Christmas theme. Recommended for children ages 2-5 years and their caregivers, but all ages are welcome. • Snowflake Search & Find
Dec. 14-18
Lewisville Branch Library
Search the Children’s Area for the hidden snowflake images. Find them all and get a prize. All ages.

• Gingerbread Creation Contest
Dec. 1-22
Email a photo of your gingerbread creation (a house, a train, a library, etc.) to jordanmc@forsth.cc by Dec.17, 2020. All of the pictures will be posted on the Lewisville Branch Library’s website and you may vote for your favorite creation via an online form from Dec. 18-22. The winning photo will be announced on Dec. 23. The winning individual or team will get a Krispy Kreme gift card. You may work on your gingerbread creation in a team or solo. Sponsored by the Friends of the Lewisville Library.
Teen programs
• Teen Advisory Board Meeting (Virtual) Tuesday, Dec. 1 from 5-6 p.m.
Lewisville Branch Library’s Teen Advisory Board is made up of Lewisville Branch Library’s teen volunteers (ages 12-18). The board meets to discuss ways to improve the Lewisville Branch Library’s service to teens. The Teen Advisory Board helps to plan programs, create displays, and suggests resources that the library should purchase. • Mad Hatter’s Book Club for Teens (Virtual)
Monday, Dec. 21, from 5-6 p.m.
Participants (ages 12-18) all read or research whatever they want related to the month’s chosen topic. They could read fiction or nonfiction books, watch movies, read news articles, etc. The club then discusses what everyone found out at the meeting. The monthly topic is chosen by participants at the meeting the month before.

• LionBadgerSnake Holiday Concert (Virtual)
Friday, Dec. 18, from 6-7 p.m.
Listen and rock out with the high school rock band, LionBadgerSnake, as they present their holiday rock concert.

• Yoga for Beginners (Virtual) Monday, Dec. 21, at 2 p.m.
Join from home for a free session of yoga to help uplift your mind and body during this stressful time. The class is facilitated by a local yoga instructor, Tracy O’Neill of YogaCentrix. Sponsored by the Friends of the Lewisville Library.
