Children’s programs

• Storytime (virtual)
Thursdays from 10-10:30 a.m.
Join in for stories, rhymes, songs and activities designed to improve early literacy. Recommended for children ages 2-5 and their caregivers, but all ages are welcome. Email Mia Jordan at jordanmc@forsyth.cc to sign up.

• Family Book Trivia Game (virtual)
Tuesday, Jan. 12, at 4 p.m.
Tuesday, Feb. 9, at 4 p.m.
Families work together to guess the answers to trivia questions about children’s literature. There are three rounds and after the final round the team name of the family who got the most correct answers overall will be announced. The prize is the joy of winning.

The Family Book Trivia Game will be held on the second Tuesday of each month at 4 p.m. Email Mia Jordan at jordanmc@forsyth.cc to sign up.

Teen programs

• Teen Advisory Board Meeting (virtual)
Monday, Jan. 4, from 5-6 p.m.
Monday, Feb. 1, from 5-6 p.m.
Lewisville Branch Library’s Teen Advisory Board is made up of Lewisville Branch Library’s teen volunteers aged 12-18. The board meets to discuss ways to improve the Lewisville Branch Library’s service to teens. The Teen Advisory Board helps to plan programs, create displays, and suggests resources that the library should purchase. • Mad Hatter’s Book Club for Teens (virtual)
Monday, Jan. 11, from 5- 6 p.m.
Monday, Feb. 15, from 5-6 p.m.
Participants aged 12-18 all read or research whatever they want related to the month’s chosen topic. They could read fiction or nonfiction books, watch movies, read news articles, etc. Topics are then discussed what everyone found out at the meeting. The monthly topic is chosen by participants at the meeting the month before.

• Nutrition for Teens Course (virtual)
Jan. 4-8 from 2-3 p.m. each day
Learn about nutrition and basic cooking skills from licensed dietitian, Elizabeth B. Walser, RD, LDN. This free course is a series of five virtual classes (each an hour long). It is recommended that you attend all of the classes, as they are progressive. Recommended for ages 12-18.
Registered participants will be able to pick up ingredients to follow along with the cooking demonstrations at the Lewisville Branch Library from Dec. 29- 31. A parental permission form will need to be signed when you pick up your supplies.

The Tuesday at Two book club meets the first Tuesday of each month at 2 p.m.

• Yoga for Beginners (virtual)
Friday, Jan. 8, at 9 a.m.
Monday, Jan. 25, at 2 p.m.
Join in from home for a free session of yoga to help uplift your mind and body during this stressful time. The class is facilitated by a local yoga instructor, Tracy O’Neill of YogaCentrix. Sponsored by the Friends of the Lewisville Library.

• Witchy Washi Tape Crafters (virtual)

Tuesday, Jan. 19 at 10 a.m.

Join in to learn how to make fun crafts with washi tape. Some supplies will be provided. Supplies limited. Contact the library at 336-703-2940 to register and reserve your packet of supplies.

• Friends of the Lewisville Library Book Club (virtual)

Tuesday, Jan. 26, at 3 p.m.
