US Open local qualifying results from Duke University Golf Club in Durham

DURHAM — Final results from USGA U.S. Open local qualifying at Duke University Golf Club in Durham on Tuesday (7,100 yards, par 36-36 — 72).
Five qualifying spots and two alternate positions were available at this qualifying site.
A trio of players all shared medalist honors by firing rounds of one-under-par 71; Ryan Sullivan from Advance, Ian Siebers from Bellevue, Washington, and Zane Lewis from Sanford finished as the only players in red numbers. Four players finished tied for fourth at even-par-72 and competed in a two-hole playoff for the final two qualifying spots. Ben Griffin from Chapel Hill and Ryan Cole from Glen Allen, Virginia, won those spots on the second playoff hole.
The five qualifiers will advance to the “Longest Day in Golf,” 12 36-hole final qualifying sites on June 7 to earn a spot in the U.S. Open, including the new final qualifying site at Long Cove Club on Hilton Head Island, S.C.; hosted by the Carolinas Golf Association.
