Flower Search & Find

Lewisville Branch Library
Search the children’s area for the hidden flower images. Find them all and get a prize. Open to all ages. Thanks to the Friends of the Lewisville Branch Library for providing the prizes.
To-Go Craft Kits: Candy Starburst Flowers

Pick up a to-go craft kit to make an edible candy flower at the Lewisville Branch Library while supplies last. For all ages. Thanks to the Friends of the Lewisville Branch Library for providing the supplies.
Teen programs
Teen Advisory Board Meeting (Virtual)
• Monday, May 3 from 5-6 p.m.
Lewisville Branch Library’s Teen Advisory Board is made up of Lewisville Branch Library’s teen volunteers (ages 12-18). The board meets to discuss ways to improve the Lewisville Branch Library’s service to teens. The Teen Advisory Board helps to plan programs, create displays, and suggests resources that the library should purchase. Contact the library for more information on volunteering.

Tuesdays at Two Book Club (virtual)

The Tuesday at Two book club meets the first Tuesday of each month at 2 p.m. May title: “The Giver of Stars” by JoJo Moyes

Yoga for Beginners (virtual)
• Friday, May 7 and 21, at 9 a.m.
Join in from home for a free session of yoga to help uplift your mind and body during this stressful time. The class is facilitated by a local yoga instructor, Tracy O’Neill of YogaCentrix. Sponsored by the Friends of the Lewisville Library.
Witchy Washi Tape Crafters (virtual)
• Tuesday, May 18, at 10 a.m.

Summer Kickoff Blood Drive
• Tuesday, May 25, from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Before you start your summer vacation, lend a hand by lending your arm. Help someone in your community this summer by donating blood. Free COVID-19 antibody testing available. Strenuous safety measures are in place to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Sponsored by the American Red Cross and the Lewisville Branch Library.
Friends of the Lewisville Library Book Club (virtual)

The Friends of the Lewisville Library invite adults to participate in interesting discussions of timely titles.

Art for Well-being (In-person outdoors)

Joanie Moser Memorial Park, covered shelter
Limited to 10 participants, masks and social distancing required.
Paint in-person with local artist and occupational therapist Patty Donoghue. Learn a simple technique using watercolors and ink as well as how art promotes well-being.

Supplies needed: watercolor set, small watercolor pad, watercolor brushes, paper towel, a container for water, thin black ink pen or marker. If you are unable to get these supplies, contact deGuzman and the library will provide them.
