Triad Honor Flight has been rescheduled for Veteran’s Day, Nov. 11. The flight will depart from Piedmont International Airport that morning and return in the evening. This will be on the 10th anniversary of the last Flight of Honor, sponsored by Rotary District No. 7690, here in the Triad.

The goal of Honor Flight, a non-profit organization, is to give as many veterans as possible “One Last Mission:” a trip to Washington, D.C., to visit all the memorials of the respective war(s) they fought at no cost to the veteran.

Since the organization is a 501(c)(3) and 100% volunteer led, volunteers and sponsors are needed. On June 5, a large outdoor fundraising event will be held at the Hideaway at Crooked Creek, near Whitsett, with music, food and fireworks. Donations can be made at http://gofundme/cdb2b80f . More information can be found at www.TriadHonorFlight.org and on Facebook and Linked In. For flight information, contact Alison Huber at 336-306-8710 or at Info@TriadHonorFlight.org.
