Local residents receive degrees from Washington and Lee University

LEXINGTON, VA. — The following local residents received a degree from Washington and Lee University on May 27.

• William Frank Orrell lll of Clemmons received a bachelor of arts degree in philosophy.

• Turner Marshall Malmo of Lewisville received a bachelor of arts degree in politics and business administration.

Connors named to dean’s list at Smith College

NORTHAMPTON, MASS. — Kaitlyn Connors, daughter of Jim and Kim Connors of Clemmons, was named to the dean’t list at Smith College. The dean’s list recognizes students with a grade point average in the top 25% of the student body.

Connors graduated from West Forsyth High School and is majoring in English with an emphasis in creative writing, and is minoring in film and media studies.
