All ages program

Read a “Banned” Book: From Sept. 1 to Oct. 1, you will be entered into a prize drawing for every frequently challenged book (from the American Library Association’s lists) that you read during this period. Stop by the Lewisville Branch Library or the Friends of the Lewisville Library Facebook Page to submit your entries. A winner will be drawn on Oct. 2. This Program is in honor of Banned Books Week (Sept. 26-Oct. 2). Sponsored by the Friends of the Lewisville Library. All ages.

Children’s programs

Back-to-School Search & Find: Sept. 1-8 at Lewisville Branch Library. Search the Children’s Area for the hidden images. Find them all and get a prize. All ages. Prizes courtesy of Friends of the Lewisville Branch Library.

Teen programs

Getting Ready for the SAT/ACT (virtual): Monday, Sept. 27, 5:30-6:30 p.m. Learn what you need to know about taking the ACT/SAT. Presented by Jenny Peacock from CollegeWise.

Adult programs

Tuesdays at Two Book Club (virtual): Tuesday, Sept. 7, at 2 p.m. The Tuesday at Two book club meets the first Tuesday of each month at 2 p.m. September title: “I Miss You When I Blink — Essays” by M. L. Philpott.

Yoga for Beginners (in-person outdoors and virtual): Friday, Sept. 3 and 17, 9 a.m. Join in outside at the Joanie Moser Memorial Park covered shelter or from home for two free yoga sessions to help uplift your mind and body during this stressful time. The class is facilitated by a local yoga instructor, Tracy O’Neill of YogaCentrix. Sponsored by the Friends of the Lewisville Library.

Witchy Washi Tape Crafters (virtual): Tuesday, Sept. 21, 10 a.m.

Join in to learn how to make fun crafts with washi tape. Some supplies will be provided. Supplies limited. Please contact the library at 336-703-2940 to register and reserve your packet of supplies.

Friends of the Lewisville Library Book Club (virtual): Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2 p.m. The Friends of the Lewisville Library invite adults to participate in interesting discussions of timely titles. September title: “The Alice Network” by Kate Quinn.
